New HIP regulations as of the 6th April 2009, Home Information Packs are now required to be completed on all properties prior to marketing.
The contents of a pack must include:
- Home Information Pack Index
- Energy Performance Certificate
- Property Information Questionnaire
- Sale Statement
- Standard Searches
- Evidence of Title
- Additional information for Leasehold and Commonhold sales, where appropriate
Do not pay over the odds on your selling fees to include a HIP, and watch out for cancellation fees some agents may charge when advertising a FREE HIP!
